- I describe my teaching as an intentional, soft, and vulnerable practice focused on modeling behavior rather than leading with rigid authority. My teaching is grounded in child development and a systemic approach to education, I view my classroom through an ecological lens that considers how a child's full environment shapes their growth.
A note from Alyssia
My yearly scrapbook project is a personalized memory book created for each of my Pre-K students to document their entire school year. Rather than just holding assignments, these scrapbooks serve as a tangible archive of each child's growth, creative development, and major milestones—capturing special classroom moments, seasonal projects, photo memories, and early artwork from their very first year of school.

Adopt Alyssia’s classroom
A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Alyssia can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
Once a month at the most, written by Alyssia. One click to stop, whenever you like. Alyssia never sees your address, and it is used for nothing else.
