A note from Ashley
Thank you for the opportunity. I’m a special education teacher in a Title 1 School. I am also a mom of 3 with 2 sons with special needs. It is my priority to advocate for my students & their families to make sure they get what they need to feel safe, comfortable and successful in school. About 2 weeks ago I was told I was switching classrooms. After sharing a room as a co-teacher for 6 years, I’m now getting my own classroom. I’ll be teaching 3rd-5th grade Autism. It’s a new classroom & it’s completely empty. I have about 2 weeks to make this room look like a classroom. Thank you for the opportunity. Anything helps.Currently I have a lot of snacks on my list for my Care Closet that will go to the students while at school and/or available to bring home to their family if needed. In addition, I still have some classroom sensory tools and necessities.

A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Ashley can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
