A note from Brandie
I am from a rural agricultural town. Our school is low socioeconomic level, all students receive free breakfast and lunch. We cannot require students have items for class, and many can not afford. I want my classroom to always be one where my students feel safe and celebrated. I teach anywhere from inclusion classes to AP, and every student knows they are loved and pushed to grow. One of my incentives is You Rock, where students can earn “rocks” and they are tallied up to exchange on Fridays for items, which can be supported on our classroom list as well. Thank you for supporting classrooms.
