A note from Jilly
My students come from one of the poorest areas of Los Angeles. They deal with trauma on a daily basis. Many of the items on my list extend beyond pencils and paper to things that might spark a bit of joy and bring a little lightness to the learning. At the risk of getting into too much teacher-specific language, I subscribe to a “Maslow before Bloom” philosophy which means a student's basic physical and emotional needs must be met before they can focus on higher-level academic learning. The help I have received getting supplies into the hands of my students has been transformational and reaffirms my faith that there is still goodness and love in a world that increasingly seems devoid of it! Thank you.

Adopt Jilly’s classroom
A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Jilly can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
Once a month at the most, written by Jilly. One click to stop, whenever you like. Jilly never sees your address, and it is used for nothing else.
