A note from Joyce

I am basically living my childhood dream. Ever since the time I stepped into kindergarten for the first time I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. For many of my years of teaching I taught kindergarten and I now teach K-4 resource. This is special to me as I have a son that has high functioning autism and although he never required an IEP, I feel like I can help student students like him learn to feel and be successful. Fourth grade was added to me this year so the main items that I’m asking for are things that go along with their curriculum for them to keep in our room as well as prizes for when they do everything they need to get done and some things to help make our classroom just look a little bit nicer. Any help or even shares of our list would be so appreciated.

A book Joyce recommends

Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus. Mo willems This was the theme I used in my classroom last year and my kids absolutely loved this book.

Adopt Joyce’s classroom

A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Joyce can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
