A note from Lisa
I’m beginning my 20th year teaching at the same elementary school in The Bronx, NY, and this year I’m excited to be moving to second grade. Our students face many challenges outside of school, including housing and food insecurity. Some live in shelters, while others share small apartments with extended family. Because of this, I try to make my classroom a place that feels welcoming, bright, happy, and safe—a place where every child knows they belong. My goal is to teach my students to read, write, think, dream, and, most importantly, be kind humans. This year, I’m reaching out for a little help as I set up my new classroom. Every donation, no matter how big or small, truly makes a difference. A new book, a classroom supply, or anything from my wish list helps me create a space where my students can learn, grow, and feel proud of their classroom. Thank you so much for helping me give my students the classroom they deserve. I’m incredibly grateful for every bit of support!

Adopt Lisa’s classroom
A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Lisa can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
