A note from Stephanie
This is my 7th year teaching music (12 years, Pre-K). Our student population is mostly African-American, our language learners are Latino and from African countries. Our school barely has enough money for salaries, cleaning vendors and essential supplies. My music students need instruments (drums, xylophones, etc.) to reach their potential as young, creative music learners, as well as materials that support their cultural diversity and wellness. As a teacher, I need support with fees for Orff Schulwerk professional development and membership - I'm trying to fundraise through Adopt A Classroom, but don't have any donors there yet. https://donors.adoptaclassroom.org/s/designation/a1mUi000008VpmPIAS I'm a candidate for National Board Certification for Early/Middle Childhood music, and I am part of Baltimore City's first cohort going through Orff Schulwerk Certification training - Orff Schulwerk is the most amazing approach to music education I've encountered, and considered the gold-standard in many countries. It's changed my teaching forever and showed me how to establish a culture of collaboration, improvisation and artistic agency for even my youngest learners. Thank you for your help!

A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Stephanie can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
