A note from Teresita
I am a veteran teacher with 35 years of experience! I have taught 34 years at my current school. Presently I teach a group of eager and enthusiastic special needs fifth graders at South Hialeah Elementary School, a Title 1 school in the City of Hialeah. The school is located in a mostly Hispanic, low income, transient area and most parents struggle to make ends meet. As a result many of our kiddos come to school hungry and unprepared to succeed. I have created an Amazon Wishlist and classroom project through Donors Choose, a fabulous nonprofit organization that allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom projects. All donations are tax deductible and support public school education. l aspire to help my students reach their greatest potential and become responsible and contributing members of our school and their community. My students mean so much to me. I love being their teacher. My goal is to make our classroom a place where the kiddos feel cared for, celebrated, and excited to learn. Donations toward snacks, classroom supplies, and special treats help me create meaningful moments for my students. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and is truly appreciated. Thank you for helping me make my students feel special and supported!

Adopt Teresita’s classroom
A wishlist is one moment in a long year. Supplies run out, holiday projects need their own things, and the snack drawer is empty again by February. Adopting means Teresita can tell you what comes up next, and how the year is going in the room itself.
Once a month at the most, written by Teresita. One click to stop, whenever you like. Teresita never sees your address, and it is used for nothing else.
